I found this car on ebay one night and thought, "I'd like that car." During the Thanksgiving get together at my uncle's I decided I was going to buy the car and that was final. I threw a bid in but the auction closed with some one else as the winner. Okay no big deal the reserve wasn't met, maybe it'll be back up again. In the following days the seller e-mailed me and told me his reserve. A little more than what I wanted to spend but what the hell, the car had a larger 45k mile engine put in within the last couple months. Now the car was in Texas and I'm here in the middle of Wisconsin. Now I need a cheap plane ticket down and I'd drive back. I planned on going down two or three weeks after I gave the seller the deposit. Within that time my dad found a SUV in the Houston area, so we flew down together and drove back together. At least that was the plan. The torque converter in the truck gave out before we had time to meet up. Wow, he bought a 97 Chevy and had this huge problem and the worst thing that happened to me was a the MAP sensor coming unplugged. The dealer did give my dad a new Astro van to drive back with and paid for the tranny repairs. I made it home just fine, but now I can't wait for SPRING!!!
